1. Does this product work as described?
It works just as described-I love mine. Use to foot pedal to wring the mop as damp or dry as you want. Pull the mop head off and put in washer (I use bleach) and it comes out like new. I’ve had mine for at least 6 months, my mom (80 plus years old) got one as well and she loves hers–no more stooping over the mop bucket wringing out dirty water.
2. Will this be good for the bathroom?
I have tile, glass, and linoleum floors in our different bathrooms. This mop is perfect for each. I also was my tubs and shower stalls with this mop. It works very well.
3. Is the handle compatible with the magic scrub mop?
The handle is compatible but very short, causing in a normal height person a very painful back problem
4. The handle is extremely short even when extended to the max. Is there anything else I can do?
There is a third section that likely isn’t extended. Took me a while to find it. It unscrews near the area where the mop head screws into the handle. Then, when all three are fully extended, hold the bottom section while turning the top section clockwise and all will tighten up.
5. Can I use a different mop with the bucket
Yes, the mop and the bucket it comes with were designed to complement one another, but you can still use other products if they fit. However, you should note the bucket does not do an excellent job of wringing out the mop, to begin with.
